Here’s a yoga class designed to be accessible, effective, and fun for every student. We focus on breath and alignment in basic poses, tailoring the class to the individual student’s physical needs, experience, and fitness level. By explaining poses step by step from the ground up, your teacher brings attention to body awareness, moving in and out of poses safely and comfortably, and connecting it all in a simple yet dynamic sequence.

Sarah Hodges

Doing yoga can transform physical and mental fatigue into a fresh flow of energy through the mind, body and spirit. Sarah made this discovery while laboriously studying in college. She felt yoga’s deep healing effects especially in the connection between breath and movement. This discovery, combined with her developing interests in philosophy and spirituality, led her into teaching yoga. As a lomilomi massage therapist, Sarah shares her gift of healing touch in her hands-on assists, which are always optional.

Sarah’s mother first introduced her to yoga at age eleven at an Iyengar yoga class in east Oahu. Immediately it spoke to Sarah’s curiosity with movement. Over the following decade she continued to explore contemporary and classical dance, supplemented by yoga classes.

Gifted in many fields, Sarah also grew up riding horses, with whom awareness of body movement and subtle touch is critical for communication. She shares her artistic nature through dance, lomilomi massage, photography and fine arts.

Sarah is certified to give lomilomi massage under the legendary Uncle Alva of Waimanalo. She attended her Yoga Teacher Training with Tamal Dodge at Yoga Salt, Los Angeles.
