Everyone deserves A CHANCE TO DANCE
Here are three ways to participate in National Dance Week with Still & Moving Center for fun, fitness and health:
- Come to our free Nia class at 11 am and our free CHANCE TO DANCE Event at noon! Ward Amphitheater, Saturday April 23rd.
- Bring a Buddy to any dance or Nia class at Still & Moving, April 22-May 1 – FREE!
- Write a fan letter to one of your dance or Nia teachers telling them why you love their class!
Still & Moving Center’s CHANCE TO DANCE! at the close, cosy Ward Warehouse Amphitheater on Saturday, April 23rd
Where: Ward Warehouse Amphitheater is under the Spaghetti Factory, near the food carts, and next to the Hawaiian book store: Native Books / Nā Mea. Saturday farmers market takes place out in front of Ward Warehouse.
Schedule:
11-12 pm Warm-up with Nia with Krista Hiser, Nia Black Belt
Free Nia class for the public to move to soul-stirring music with the expressiveness of dance, the yang energy of martial arts and the healing energy of yoga.
12-1 pm CHANCE TO DANCE event!
Still & Moving Center teachers and students demonstrate their unique dance styles, sharing the universal language of dance.
What: Take this CHANCE TO DANCE with your teacher and class – possibly to the theme song for National Dance week “Better When I’m Dancing” by Megan Trainor. Show us your stuff!
Dance Options: Join our Hula ladies, Smarty Dancers, Groovers, Belly Dancers, Bollywood stars, Dancers to Heal, Dance Fitness gals, Release Technique dancers or our Nia movers and shakers! Better yet, why not join them all!?!
