Escape the rush and multiple tasking of getting ready for the holidays…. Renew yourself with this afternoon treat of restorative yoga postures, aromatherapy with the application of vital acupressure points from the indian tradition of Marma therapy and a guided foot massage, to finally rest in Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) a relaxing meditation systematically guiding you through your body, resulting in deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra means sleep after throwing off all burdens. This is the experience of absolute relaxation. You will be in a beautifully appointed quiet and safe space illuminated by soft candle light , accompanied by soothing and relaxing music.
No prior yoga experience is necessary, only an open mind and the desire to feel better in your body. (Please bring a pair of cotton socks, for the foot massage)
Claudia Castor started practicing Yogaat the beginning of the new millennium while sailing the Sea of Cortez, realizing a slower and simpler life style. In 2010 she completed the 200 hour Teacher Training certification at Open Space Yoga, as well as 3 months of apprenticeship with her mentor, Murti Hower. Through various studies and workshops she continues to grow her knowledge and practice with great passion. She is most influenced by the tantric Hatha style of Yoga as taught by Mary Bastien in the lineage of Rod Stryker and Murti Howerʼs zen like Yoga, in the lineage of Rodney Yee. She also brings an alignment oriented, very functional Iyengar style into her teaching. Her motto is “be the best you can be and be grateful for everything”. Wanting her students to feel better in their bodies and have a zest for life, she brings her compassionate and free spirit into her classes.
