Awaken your heart and heal yourself by delving into the inner wisdom of “your biology”. Your joints open, fluidically connecting all of your body. Through breath, sound and movement, we coax the love that lies in the depth of our being to fill us and the field around us, so that love never has to leave us. Our love overflows into the great ocean of love.
Unfold your spirit through movement. Learn to listen for your authentic body wisdom: muscles, connective tissue, organs, cells. This meeting of life water and the spark of fire is the wonderful practice of creation. We are all longing for this connection, and when we make it, our hearts open to deep joy.
Learning awareness of the body and the self translates into awareness of others and our surroundings. We gain the virtues of peace, self-love with compassion for others, and gentleness with strength.
‘Love fills everything.
It cannot be desired because it is an end to itself.
It cannot betray because it has nothing to do with possession.
It cannot be held prisoner because it is a river and will overflow its banks.’
-Paulo Coelho
Eva Alewa Geueke & Kalimah Godheart join forces to create an unforgettable Continuum dive. The two met in Germany 20 years ago in an intensive training with Emily Conrad, the founder of Continuum. Both dancers have been deeply transformed by the work. They have been developing their practices independently. Kalimah is a certified Continuum Movement teacher; Eva teaches her Wave Continuum as spin off of Continuum Movement.
Eva Alewa Geueke (Honolulu/ Cologne) practices the path of embodying the sacred through conscious movement and dance. Originally a professional trained dancer who performed and made her own evening length dance pieces she she ultimately felt that teaching will bring more healing and positive change into the world than performing.
After her Feldenkrais training and working intensively with Emily Conrad the founder of Continuum Movement and Susan Harper in the 80ies and 90ties she created Wave-Continuum. This beautiful healing movement practice opens the heart and connects the mover to the wisdom of life embedded in our fluid system of out cells and the universe. Undulating movement meditation, breath and sound bring this ancient awareness to the surface of our consciousness.
Emily Conrad, founder of Continuum Movement, passed away in 2014. She was one of those giants in the movement-somatic-healing-dance community, like Gabrielle Roth with 5Rhythms dance. Emily’s deliciously deep and healing work lives on in the teachings of those who studied with her long enough to pass it on.
