At least 3 performances will be scheduled\, as well as a field trip to a heiau (ancient sacred Hawaiian site) Optional: Hiuwai sunrise ocean cleansing ceremony on Saturday\, September 20 and December 20 with the adult hula halau – your whole family is welcome. \nKumu Malia Helela is an authentic Kumu Hula: a recognized hula teacher\, officially having graduated after 17 years training from the long and esteemed Hawaiian hula lineage of Pulu’elo Park. Conversant in Hawaiian\, Kumu Mālia frequently composes her own original oli (sacred chants) and mele (songs) that celebrate Hawai’i’s natural beauty.
