7 sacred breaths & stretching with sound, Group vocal sound mandalas, Nada Yoga – Yoga of Sound, sounds for transitioning into a heart-centered world, opening creative and intuitive abilities using sound.

Vima Lamura www.VimaLamura.com breaks barriers creating an innovative hybrid of “new” music through her unique voice, performances and recordings. Vima LamuraHer 4 octave range silhouettes effortlessly with vocal stylings from indigenous to classical, primordial to other worldly embodying harmonics, textures and tones that touch the soul. Vima’s artistic refinement and spiritual essence, weaves an ancient-futuristic tone with multi cultural influences, luxuriant vocals, and potent messages elegantly set on electronic/acoustic sound-beds of cinematic, classical, crossover and ambient themes. She sings in a variety of languages in a range of styles from ambient, classical and ethnic to spoken word.

Vima has 7 CDs to her credit.  She has created, scripted, composed and performed 7 “world beat operas” in addition to multiple ensemble performances and solo tours worldwide. Her performance and composition works have been rewarded by the American Composer’s Forum, Jerome Foundation and McKnight foundation. Vima is also a published writer and poet.

A lifetime of immersion in ancient, traditional cultures, cultivated her global appeal. Her passion for meditation, yoga and cosmology of chant have strongly influenced her creations.
