The downtown scene meets the movement scene with some grooves for your moves in ecstatic dance style.
Come out for an amazing night of music, dance and community. DJ David, formerly at Kalani Ecstatic Dance on the Big Island, will be holding down the music. Bodyworkers from the Still & Moving Center’s Malu healing room will be available to soothe your aches and pains.
What is ecstatic dance? It is a great work out for the body and the mind. Some people consider it a spiritual practice that allows you to explore how you wish to move through your life. Or if that is too out there, just imagine the grooviest dance experience you’ve ever had at a show, at a house party, or just in your room by yourself; that is what ecstatic dance is all about. It is a night of pure dancing, without alcohol, pick ups, or uncomfortable shoes.
Jerome James will be providing an awesome mix of rhythms and beats and live accompaniment.
