A Movement exploration that touches your soul, expands you expression and renders your body  fluid!
We will work with breath, sound and undulating movement to tap into deep spaces of healing and insight. Although breath is, in itself, treated as movement, we also go on to learn specific movement practices that will eventually be put together into a sequence. The sequence of practice lays out the territory of exploration.
Stress, among other things, produces a hormone called cortisol, which over stabilizes the fluid in our connective tissue, making it impossible for it to move through its aqueous cycle.  When fluid becomes bound, it cannot exhale; it creates rigidity, locking down our connective tissue, fixating our muscles, creating an overstabilization or a structural excess that will ultimately erupt in functional disorders. When fluid becomes more aqueous, its capacity to communicate is enormous. When fluid becomes gel (or more solid, more local), its concerns are more within a boundary. Connective tissue serves our organism in many ways, but one of its primary contributions is relationship.
Learn to listen for the authentic enfoldment of movement, the wisdom of your body, muscles, connective tissue, organs, cells and spirit, the meeting of water and the spark of fire; this is the wonderful practice of creation.  We are all longing for connection and when it is finally there, the heart opens and deep joy may be found.
Emily Conrad, founder of Continuum movement, passed away in 2014. She was one of those giants in the movement-somatic-healing-dance community, like Gabrielle Roth of 5Rhythm

malu_evageuekeEva Alewa Geueke studied Continuum Movement with founder Emily Conrad and S. Harper for many years. She loves teaching Wave Continuum, a spin of Continuum Movement, as it brings her and her fellow movement surfers into a very special heart opening loving creative state.

Eva has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for almost 30 years. She came to the Feldenkrais Method® as a young professional dancer and it changed her understanding of brain, body, movement, and therefore herself, forever. Eva also teaches Contemporary Dance, Qigong-Universal Tao of Mantak Chia, and is a IAO healer.
